About The Position

The Hydro Excavator Operator is responsible for servicing multiple clients with the safe excavation of utilities and other underground obstacles. The operator will do this with the use of a truck mounted Vacuum along with pressurized water. The operator must also operate the truck within DOT regulations and in a safe manner.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a Class B truck with tanker endorsement.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Flexibility in schedule.
• Good attitude and willingness to adapt.
• Knowledge of simple mechanics.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform simple math.
• Class A or B CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as necessary.
• Willingness to travel in a non-traditional setting.
• Must maintain a Medical Card.

Responsibilities

• Service multiple clients with the safe excavation of utilities and other underground obstacles using a truck-mounted vacuum and pressurized water.
• Operate the truck within DOT regulations and in a safe manner.
• Communicate and interact with customers.
• Navigate job sites effectively.
• Understand and identify utility markings.
• Provide premier service to the customer.
• Perform simple mechanical tasks.
• Maintain safety consciousness.
