Hydro Blast Technician (Demolition Project)
About The Position
Redi Industrial Services is hiring Hydro Blast Technicians for a hydro-demolition project in Salt Lake City, Utah. Technicians safely clean and maintain industrial facilities and equipment, including operating high-pressure water-blasting equipment and performing industrial cleaning. The project involves 40,000 PSI ultra-high-pressure hydro demolition and manual shotgun concrete removal. The position includes 12-hour shifts in a 24/6 operation, an approximately six-weeks-on/one-week-off rotation, and a project duration of five to six months, with an option to remain on the project. Travel to customer job sites is required as needed, and per diem is provided. The company describes training, advancement opportunities, respect, and teamwork as part of its work culture. Requirements
- Previous hydro blasting, industrial cleaning, construction, manufacturing, or labor experience.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel when required.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- TWIC card, or willingness to obtain one.
Responsibilities
- Operate high-pressure water-blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform industrial cleaning of tanks, vessels, piping, heat exchangers, and other equipment.
- Assist with equipment setup, inspections, maintenance, and teardown.
- Follow safety procedures, confined-space requirements, and lockout/tagout practices.
- Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work with supervisors and crew members to complete projects safely and on schedule.
- Complete required job documentation and equipment inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Travel to customer job sites as needed.
- Perform physically demanding work in varied industrial environments and weather conditions.
- Perform ultra-high-pressure hydro demolition and manual shotgun concrete removal.
