Hydro Blast Technician (Demolition Project)
About The Position
Redi Services is seeking motivated Hydro Blast Technicians to join our Salt Lake City team for a demolition project. The role involves safely cleaning and maintaining industrial facilities and equipment using high-pressure water blasting. The project involves 40,000 PSI Ultra High-Pressure Hydro Demolition and Manuel Shotgun Concrete Removal, with 12-hour shifts operating 24/6. Per diem is provided, and the rotation schedule is approximately 6 weeks on and 1 week off, with a project duration of 5-6 months. There is an option to remain on the project after its completion.
Requirements
- Previous hydro blasting, industrial cleaning, construction, manufacturing, or labor experience.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel when required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screenings.
- Must be willing and able to pass an initial and periodic drug screens and a background check upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- TWIC card is a plus (or willingness to obtain one).
Responsibilities
- Operate high-pressure water blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform industrial cleaning of tanks, vessels, piping, heat exchangers, and other equipment.
- Assist with equipment setup, inspections, maintenance, and teardown.
- Follow all safety procedures, confined space requirements, and lockout/tagout practices.
- Wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work effectively with supervisors and crew members to complete projects safely and on schedule.
- Complete required job documentation and equipment inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Travel to customer job sites as needed.
- Perform physically demanding work in a variety of industrial environments and weather conditions.
