About The Position

Hydraulic Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair hydraulic system failures across mill equipment. Troubleshoot pressure loss, overheating, leaks, and system instability. Replace and rebuild hydraulic components including pumps, valves, and cylinders. Support quick and effective resolution of breakdowns to minimize downtime. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance (PM / PDM): Execute PM tasks for all hydraulic systems as per schedule. Support development and improvement of PM procedures. Perform oil sampling, filtration checks, and contamination control activities. Identify early signs of failure and report potential issues proactively. Plant Floor Support (Hands-On): Provide real-time support during production for hydraulic-related issues. Work closely with Millwrights and Maintenance Technicians during repairs. Support shutdowns, planned maintenance, and major repair work. Maintain housekeeping and organization of hydraulic systems and areas. Continuous Improvement & Reliability: Participate in root cause analysis (RCA, 5 Why) for repeat failures. Suggest improvements to increase reliability and reduce downtime. Assist in standardizing hydraulic components and practices. Support implementation of upgrades and modifications.

Requirements

  • Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Experience replacing and rebuilding hydraulic components (pumps, valves, cylinders)
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance procedures
  • Ability to perform oil sampling, filtration checks, and contamination control
  • Experience providing plant floor support during production
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis (RCA, 5 Why)
  • Ability to work closely with Millwrights and Maintenance Technicians
  • Experience supporting shutdowns and planned maintenance
