The Hydraulic Pump & Motor Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, removing, repairing and replacing equipment and hydraulic components, brake systems, electrical systems, air systems, transmissions and related power train systems. Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of hydraulic components, brake systems, electrical systems, air systems, transmissions and related power train systems.
  • Ability to rebuild pumps, piston pumps, motors and valves.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
  • Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and service software.
  • Excellent customer satisfaction skills.
  • Ability to handle high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery occasionally.
  • Ability to work additional hours to meet business and customer demands.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work as an integral part of a team.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the function and repair of all hydraulic pumps.
  • Pump, motor, valve and hydraulic cylinder rebuild experience preferred.
  • Military equipment experience or the completion of a diesel school program a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, inspecting, removing, repairing and replacing equipment and hydraulic components, brake systems, electrical systems, air systems, transmissions and related power train systems.
  • Rebuilding pumps, piston pumps, motors and valves.
  • Completing service reports and providing pertinent details for work orders.
  • Handling a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operating heavy machinery occasionally.
  • Working additional hours to meet business and customer demands.
  • Positively interacting with supervisor and understanding problems and concerns relating to a repair.
  • Promoting a positive customer experience.
