About The Position

The Hydraulic Pump & Motor Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, removing, repairing and replacing equipment and hydraulic components, brake systems, electrical systems, air systems, transmissions and related power train systems.

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of hydraulic components, brake systems, electrical systems, air systems, transmissions and related power train systems.
  • Must have ability to rebuild pumps, piston pumps, motors ad valves.
  • Must have good trouble shooting skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
  • Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and service software.
  • Must be able to complete service reports and provide pertinent details for work orders.
  • Excellent customer satisfaction skills.
  • Must be able to handle high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to occasionally operate heavy machinery.
  • Must be able to additional hours to meet business and customer demands.
  • Must be able to positively interact with supervisor and to understand problems and concerns relating to a repair.
  • Requires good communication skills.
  • Must be able to work as an integral part of a team.

  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the function and repair of all hydraulic pumps.
  • Pump, motor, valve and hydraulic cylinder rebuild experience preferred.
  • Military equipment experience or the completion of a diesel school program a plus.
