About The Position

Air Transport Components (ATC) in Gilbert, AZ, is an FAA-approved 145 Repair Station seeking experienced Hydraulic mechanics. Applicants must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings as ATC maintains a drug-free workplace. Responsibilities include managing daily job tasks, meeting deadlines, ensuring maintenance documentation is accurate, and maintaining a clean work environment. Candidates should have at least 3-years' experience, preferably in commercial or military aviation and must possess strong mechanical and organizational skills. The position is full-time, M-F scheduled between operating hours of 6:00 AM to 4:30pm. ATC offers a rotating work schedule of M-Th, 10-hour shifts, and M-F, 8-hour shifts on alternating weeks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or GED required.
  • 1-year experience as a maintenance supervisor and/or inspector.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the FAR’s.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and /or more on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to bend and/or squat repeatedly and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have excellent communication and people skills.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Inspection Authorization is preferred.
  • CFR 145 Repair Station experience preferred.
  • Completion of an FAA-accredited technical school program with a minimum of 1,900 actual class hours preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of hydraulic principles, fluid dynamics, and aircraft hydraulic schematics
  • Ability to inspect, disassemble, and rebuild hydraulic components such as pumps, actuators, valves, reservoirs, and accumulators
  • Using test benches and precision instruments to diagnose and verify hydraulic system performance
  • Proficiency with hydraulic test equipment, torque wrenches, gauges, and specialized bench tools
  • Familiar with manufacturer's manuals such as the CMM for component overhaul and repairs.
  • Precise logbook and work order entries to ensure compliance and traceability
  • Ability to interpret schematics, CMM, to identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Troubleshooting complex issues within tight turnaround schedules
  • Working effectively in a maintenance environment with other mechanics and engineers.
  • Critical for ensuring component tolerances and system integrity
