Eastern Waste Systems, Inc. in Pompano Beach is looking to hire Diesel Mechanics for our Shop. We are a privately owned, locally operated Residential Bulk Removal Company. We are fast growing and have a strong presence in the South Florida area and are looking for enthusiastic professional personnel to add to our already exceptional team. Requirements

• Three - Five (3-5) Years hands on technical experience in the maintenance and repair of medium duty class 8 vehicles and equipment.
• Must have their tools/specialty tools; test equipment will be provided.
• Valid driver’s license, CDL a plus.
• Legally eligible to be work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Nice To Haves

• CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diesel/Hydraulic mechanic with troubleshooting experience.
• A/C and Electrical Systems knowledge.
• Must be able to visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Performs inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment, A/C systems.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Perform work with 100% integrity and professionalism.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work by established safety procedures.
