About The Position

Responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing hydraulic leaks on injection molding presses. This role requires strong hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, the ability to diagnose issues, and coordination with inventory to ensure timely repairs. The team member will also maintain a clean and safe work area around affected equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment repairing hydraulic systems.
  • Basic skills using iPads, data entry, email, and web applications.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Strong analytical, planning skills and critical thinking ability required with orientation for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to effectively prepare business and technical documentation such as procedures, reports, presentations, etc.
  • Ability to understand and follow written technical procedures/instructions
  • Ability to identify and report potential quality or safety issues.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Highly effective, articulate communication skills (verbal & written) with strong interpersonal effectiveness and the ability to work with all levels in the organization and across cultures
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage a variety of projects and tasks.
  • Takes initiative, approaches others in a positive and constructive manner, and works well independently to achieve results
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and rotate across multiple operations.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic components and systems, including pumps, cylinders, and seals.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds individually and team lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
  • Must wear all personal protective equipment where required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in plastics or injection molding preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic leaks on IMM presses.
  • Diagnose issues and determine necessary parts and materials for repair.
  • Coordinate with the Inventory Specialist to order required parts.
  • Perform repairs including O-ring replacements, hydraulic cylinder rebuilds, and component replacement (e.g., pumps, cylinders).
  • Clean and maintain areas affected by oil leaks using absorbent materials, pads, and oil/water vac systems.
  • Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, and compliant with environmental and safety standards.
  • Work independently to complete assigned repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with additional equipment repairs as directed by the supervisor, based on business needs.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
