About The Position

This role involves operating hydraulic cranes of 90 tons and higher. The operator is responsible for observing load hook-ups, ensuring the safety of loads, and manipulating crane controls for precise movement. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining the crane, inspecting for defects, and performing minor maintenance. The position also requires loading, transporting, and unloading materials, assisting with material positioning, and adhering to all safety procedures. Planning and coordinating crane movement and set-up are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

• Minimum of 48 months industrial construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Observes load hook up and determines safety of load.
• Manipulates crane control to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
• Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism.
• Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies the supervisor of the defects or malfunctions.
• Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
• Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
• Safely operate crane, hoist mechanism, tools and materials.
• Assists in assembly and disassembly of cranes.
• Plans and coordinates crane movement & set-up.
• Adheres to all safety procedures.
