About The Position

Salt Lake Behavioral Health is seeking a PRN Therapist for our (IOP) Intensive Outpatient and Miliary Programs. The Outpatient Therapist performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. The Outpatient Therapist will be responsible for managing a set case load, providing mental health/chemical dependency treatment in a group setting, completing individualized treatment plans, and coordinating continuing care/discharge planning. The Outpatient Therapist works with at treatment team and multi-disciplinary team. The Military Behavioral Heath Therapist performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, with a specific focus on treatment of complex trauma and PTSD. The Trauma Program therapist works with an interdisciplinary treatment team to create a therapeutic milieu. Treatment modalities include EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodrama, and expressive therapies. The Trauma Program therapist will provide group, individual, and family therapy with the military population. This is a Full-time Exempt position working four-10-hour days with one day being on the weekend.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in human relations field required.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Successfully complete our current training for restraints and seclusions within 90 days of employment.
  • Fully licensed to practice in the State of Utah as a mental health professional.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in trauma/PTSD treatment or in a psychiatric health care facility
  • Direct experience in individual and group therapies
  • Crisis intervention experience
  • EMDR trained
