About The Position

Bcore is seeking a Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer (PaaS) to support the NGA customer mission. This role involves working on a development team using Agile scrum methodology to develop and maintain an agency-wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying various application stacks and data services. The engineer will be responsible for the O&M of an existing Red Hat OpenShift environment, supporting OpenShift operators and frameworks, deploying OpenShift to new sites, integrating with internal and external teams, ensuring compliance with security requirements, and supporting data services.

Requirements

Active TS (SCI eligibility) clearance and eligibility to obtain a CI poly is required
Must have DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
Requires Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
5-8 years Developer experience
Experience deploying and managing RedHat OpenShift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment
Experience with Amazon Web Services
Python, Shell scripting, Git (desired)
Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS
CI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitOps
Container technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem in general

Nice To Haves

Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift certification
Intelligence Community Experience preferred

Responsibilities

Work on a development team, utilizing Agile scrum methodology, which is responsible for developing and maintain agency wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains.
The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying a rather application stacks and data services.
O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments
Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps
Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them
Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions
Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack
