About The Position
GDIT is seeking a Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer with Top Secret/SCI clearance to join their team. This role involves working on a development team utilizing Agile scrum methodology to develop and maintain an agency-wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying various application stacks and data services. The position is located in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5-8 years Developer experience
- Meet DoW 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
- Top Secret/SCI clearance must currently be possessed.
- Top Secret SCI + Polygraph clearance must be obtainable.
- US Citizenship Required
Nice To Haves
- Experience deploying and managing RedHat Open Shift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment
- Experience with Amazon Web Services
- Python, Shell scripting, Git
- Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS
- CI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins
- Container technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem in general
Responsibilities
- O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments
- Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps
- Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
- Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them
- Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions
- Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack
- Compile detailed documentation
