HW/SW Lab Automation Engineer
About The Position
This role involves building regression test beds in the lab, which includes assembling PCBs, optics, motion stages, and other hardware sensors/actuators. The engineer will also establish a hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure for embedded systems, drivers, and hardware/software interfaces. Additionally, the role requires building automation infrastructure for nightly regressions, integrating with existing CI/CD infrastructure, and developing integration tests for software features to ensure full coverage. Documentation of hardware test fixtures, software automation, and feature tests is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities
- Build regression test beds in the lab (putting together PCBs, Optics, motion stages and other hardware sensors/actuators)
- Build the foundations of a hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure (testing embedded systems, drivers, hardware/software interfaces)
- Build automation infrastructure for nightly regressions and integrate with existing CI/CD infrastructure
- Build Integration tests for software features and ensure full feature coverage
- Document the different hardware text fixtures, software automation and feature tests
