About The Position

Craftmasters is building a new skills education institution for the modern workforce, offering rigorous, industry-connected learning for career readiness. As the HVACR Program Manager, you will lead the day-to-day excellence of the program within Craftmasters’ academic framework and educational standards. This role begins as a part-time consulting engagement (10-20 hours/week remotely) and transitions into a full-time, on-campus position in Orlando, FL, once the campus is launch-ready. You will be responsible for faculty performance, student outcomes, curriculum relevance, and industry relationships. You will lead a team, ensure instruction stays current with industry standards, and serve as the primary connection between Craftmasters and the HVACR industry. During the startup phase, you will also carry a teaching load and may step into the classroom as needed. This is a campus-based leadership role requiring presence, visibility, and accountability for program quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum six (6) years of verifiable, expert-level HVACR field experience.
  • Active HVACR licensure required.
  • At least two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Ability and willingness to teach program courses.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ASHRAE standards preferred.
  • NATE certification beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the HVACR program including curriculum development, faculty supervision, and student retention.
  • Help source and hire instructors who bring genuine field experience into the classroom, then coach and develop them once on board.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry employers and lead our Program Advisory Committee.
  • Partner with Admissions and Marketing on program positioning and campus events.
  • Monitor program outcomes and drive continuous improvement in completion and placement rates.
  • Ensure compliance with ACCSC accreditation standards and state and Department of Education requirements.
  • Carry a teaching load, particularly during the startup phase and as coverage needs arise.
