About The Position

Performs heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning services related to installation, maintenance, and repair in and around the buildings of the hospital complex. Routinely troubleshoots and repairs electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing components of HVACR systems and subsystems. Documents work orders and scheduled maintenance as required by Life Safety and other regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Diploma in HVAC or a related field.
• Three years of HVAC and refrigeration experience, preferably in a hospital or service repair field environment.
• Stationary Engineer licensure or certification.
• Universal Resource Recovery Certification.
• Clearances with renewal: Act 31, 33, 34, and 73.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders, preventive maintenance, logs, performance testing, and related documentation in a timely manner.
• Remove snow and ice.
• Report issues with, troubleshoot, replace, and calibrate Building Management System sensors and controls.
• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment and associated electrical, pneumatic, hot water, and steam subsystems.
• Requisition materials accurately; maintain files and records; and record time and materials expended.
• Assist other trades as appropriate or as assigned by management.
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including storage and shop areas.
• Operate the Building Management System to control HVAC and other integrated systems and alarms.
