About The Position

Johnson Controls, a leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12, and Commercial Real Estate, is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join their growing business. This role offers the opportunity to increase HVAC knowledge and learn from top HVAC teams, servicing and maintaining advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment. The Tradesman will act as a trusted advisor to customers, solving comfort, building inefficiency, and other service-related issues. Johnson Controls provides factory certification through their Service Technical Academy (STA) and offers competitive pay and benefits.

Requirements

• Adherence to the company Safety Program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Willingness to join the Local 601 Milwaukee Steamfitters & Refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installations and drive results under the direction of the Employer, limited only by their capabilities as determined by the Employer, at the respective apprentice rate of pay.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Respond to basic warranty calls.
• Keep JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
