HVAC Trainee
About The Position
Bellows Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical is growing, and we are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as HVAC Trainees. Bellows services customers throughout the entire San Francisco Bay Area. This position supports our South Bay operations and serves Santa Cruz, Monterey, Santa Clara, and San Mateo counties. We are headquartered in Santa Cruz. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in the HVAC trade. Position Overview The HVAC Trainee works closely with experienced technicians and the operations team to support service calls and installation projects while learning the fundamentals of the trade. This role focuses on hands-on training and developing the skills needed to become a successful technician. The position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Strong interest in starting a career in HVAC or skilled trades
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good communication skills and professional attitude
- Ability to lift, carry, and work in various physical conditions
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
Nice To Haves
- Trade school enrollment or completion is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with HVAC service calls and installations
- Learn basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems
- Help prepare job sites, tools, and materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Support installation of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
- Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development
