About The Position

Westland Insurance Group Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee - Insurance Advisor at our Thunder Bay location. This role is for a career-minded individual who is focused on growing their career in insurance. As a Trainee - Insurance Advisor, you're empowered to develop your career in insurance by learning how to promote and educate clients on Insurance products. You'll also practice anticipating and interpreting client needs, as well as completing various insurance transactions. Westland provides support to all Trainees as they work to obtain their licensing. The hourly rate for this role is $23/hr on a 37.5-hour work week, with an increase upon licensing and movement into the Insurance Advisor position. Licensing is typically achieved within 3 months from the date of hire but is dependent on individual achievement.

Requirements

Eager to grow, with minimal sales or customer service experience.
Ability to build authentic client relationships.
Master time manager, able to prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

Promote and educate clients on Insurance products.
Anticipate and interpret client needs.
Complete various insurance transactions.
Answer questions as they arise and communicate product benefits that best match client needs.
Conduct interviews while capturing the right data.
