About The Position

Johnson Controls, a leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12, and Commercial Real Estate, is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join their growing business. This role offers the opportunity to service and maintain advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment, learn from top HVAC teams, and gain factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA). As a trusted advisor, you will solve comfort and building inefficiency issues, troubleshoot problems, and respond to warranty calls. The position involves performing mechanical installations under the direction of the Employer and in accordance with the labor agreement, limited only by their capabilities. You will keep JCI, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and issues, provide recommendations for facility efficiency, and upsell opportunities, including providing quotes for proposed solutions.

Requirements

Adherence to the company Safety Program.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter with ability to work independently.
A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
Willing to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical installations and drive results.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
Respond to basic warranty calls.
Keep JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed.
Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently.
Upsell opportunities.
Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
Perform all assigned work under the direction of the Employer.
