About The Position

Daikin Applied is hiring an HVAC Test Technician Intern to support HVAC development programs. The role involves installing, testing, calibrating, and repairing electromechanical and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment to ensure conformance with established standards. This is an on-site position in Plymouth, Minnesota.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Enrollment in a vocational or technical degree program.
0–2 years of experience in HVAC.
Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard.
Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance.
Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments.
Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions.
Uphold standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area.
Maintain working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to help ensure duties are performed safely.
Communicate effectively with laboratory and project teams.
Obtain fork truck training or license, scissor lift training or license, or refrigerant handling certifications.
Set up test units according to laboratory procedures and test request requirements.
Create records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory procedures.
