The HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing heating and air equipment, inspecting and maintaining ducting, and ensuring company materials and equipment are in serviceable condition. This role involves identifying, wiring, and starting up complete residential systems, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues to keep equipment functioning properly. The technician will perform start-ups, testing, and record results to ensure proper system function. They will also inspect systems, inform dispatch/customers of concerns, and explain all services and repairs performed. Daily coordination with the office for work schedules, ordering parts, and ensuring preparedness for appointments is required. The technician will transport parts, materials, and tools to job sites, maintain an accounting of assigned items, and complete all required paperwork or tablet entries neatly and timely. Debriefing service calls with dispatch/customers and ensuring area cleanliness after job completion are also key responsibilities. The role includes maintaining the company vehicle's cleanliness and organization, abiding by company standards of performance and ethics, maintaining a courteous demeanor, ensuring protective floor savers are used in customer homes, and following safety policies and procedures.
