About The Position

As an HVAC Technician, you will perform service and maintenance tasks on commercial and / or industrial HVAC equipment. Compensation aspects of the role are dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience.

  • Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materials
  • Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening.
  • Ability to pass MVR check.
  • Ability to pass a physical ability test.
  • Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 or more years of experience repairing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC/R equipment preferred.
  • EPA universal certification preferred.
  • Experience with RTU, air handlers, split systems, chilled water, or boiler systems, preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting task safely in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC equipment as needed.
  • Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.
  • Service, diagnose and troubleshoot various types of split systems, packaged rooftop, rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic, electrical control systems, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.
  • Use your HVAC skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medium to large sized complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems, ranging from 3 tons to 1280 tons.
  • Complete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld device
  • Work independently, and as part of a team, to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame.
  • Operate company vehicle to complete service calls in a specified territory.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.
