About The Position

At CLEAResult, we lead the transition to a sustainable, energy-efficient future. We are looking for a talented HVAC Technician to join our team. In partnership with a regional utility company, you will implement a demand response program by installing load control receivers on customers’ AC units. Your responsibilities will include quality assurance and control of these devices, performing necessary service or removal, and educating customers on program details when requested. This is a year-round, field-based position. In addition to the demand response program, you will also perform residential home energy audits and diagnostic testing to identify efficiency opportunities and improve overall home performance. This involves conducting building assessments, operating diagnostic equipment, documenting findings, and recommending energy-saving measures to customers. You will work directly with homeowners, ensuring a positive customer experience while supporting program goals for safety, quality, and energy savings. A company vehicle, laptop, tablet, tools, PPE safety equipment, and work attire are provided.

Requirements

  • Based around Council Bluffs/Omaha area
  • Work within the program safety requirements
  • Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to observe and record information accurately using a laptop/tablet
  • Confident in ability to troubleshoot AC issues and determine the correct course of action
  • Perform quality observations on the device to determine functionality, including looking at the wiring and lights on the device
  • Associate degree in HVAC certification or NATE certification
  • 1-3 years of relevant industry experience or a combination of training, education, and work experience in a related field required
  • Valid driver's license
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license in the state you are seeking employment in, with a driving record that meets CLEAResult’s minimum safety standard
  • If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support.
  • Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

  • Providing QAQC of load control devices
  • Performing service and removal of load control devices when needed
  • Informing the customer and educating them on program details upon customer request
  • Performing residential home energy audits
  • Conducting diagnostic testing to identify efficiency opportunities and improve overall home performance
  • Conducting building assessments
  • Operating diagnostic equipment (e.g., blower doors and combustion safety tools)
  • Documenting findings
  • Recommending energy-saving measures to customers
  • Ensuring a positive customer experience
