About The Position

The HVAC Technician will assist with the installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of air conditioning systems, commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems and combined heating, ventilation and cooling systems; assemble, install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and waste water disposal in compliance with code regulations; assemble, install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in buildings and other structures; perform general carpentry using hand and power tools; maintain inventory on tools and parts specific to assigned trade; disassemble malfunctioning equipment, examines parts, and makes appropriate repairs; clean dirty equipment or their parts using air hoses or chemical solutions.

Requirements

  • Formal education equivalent of a high school diploma.
  • Five years of experience in the chosen field required.
  • Possess, or has the ability to obtain the required license or certification in the skilled areas.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to perform manual labor.
  • Must be able to bend and reach without undue physical exertion.
  • Must have the ability to do required lifting (up to 75 lbs.).
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

  • Associate degree preferred.
