Howmet Aerospace is currently looking for 2 HVAC Technicians to join our Howmet Casting plant located in Dover , New Jersey. The work hours for these positions will be on 2nd and 3rd shift. Training will occur on 1st shift M-F Position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off-shift Anticipated Pay Range: $28 .00- $33.00 per hour. POSITION OVERVIEW The HVAC Technician will perform preventative and predictive maintenance and repairs in the areas of HVAC systems in the plant. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principals. Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Report all job related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook). Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner. Attend all EHS training. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance as well as emergency breakdown repairs in order to ensure that HVAC systems continue to run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently. Perform electrical and refrigerant repairs to HVAC systems. Be able to work with and diagnose problems with pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical systems on HVAC machinery. Align and balance equipment after installation, repair or service. Assemble, install and /or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings gears and other parts of machinery Dismantle devices to gain success to remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools and replacing defective parts with new parts or repairs parts. Inspect Operator and test Machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions Support all TPM efforts Train other maintenance personnel on equipment in area.
