About The Position
TMC Staffing is seeking HVAC Technicians to install, maintain, and repair climate control and refrigeration systems to ensure residential and commercial units operate safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, plus completion of an HVAC vocational program.
- EPA 608 Certification (required for handling refrigerants).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces like attics or crawl spaces.
Responsibilities
- Mount and connect HVAC components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporator coils, and ductwork according to technical blueprints and safety codes.
- Perform routine tune-ups (e.g., cleaning ducts, replacing filters) and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools like multimeters.
- Handle, recover, and recycle refrigerants in strict compliance with EPA regulations.
- Wire low-voltage connections, thermostats, and control systems linked to HVAC units.
- Explain system issues, provide repair estimates, and sell maintenance service contracts to clients.
