Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience (for Service Technician role)
  • 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience (for Installation Technician role)
  • EPA Certification (required for Service Technician, NATE preferred for Installation Technician)
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily call flow
  • Comfort working in attics, crawlspaces, and extreme temperatures
  • Proven leadership ability (for Lead Installation roles)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and install specifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions

Nice To Haves

  • NATE certification (preferred for Installation Technician)

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems
  • Perform service calls efficiently in customer homes
  • Explain system issues and solutions in a clear, professional manner
  • Document work, complete invoices, and recommend comfort solutions
  • Follow safety protocols and keep work areas clean and organized
  • Travel to job sites in a company-provided vehicle
  • Install residential HVAC systems (condensers, coils, furnaces, air handlers, mini-splits, thermostats, ductwork)
  • Act as lead of installation crews, depending on experience level
  • Ensure installs are completed safely, on time, and to spec
  • Perform ductwork installation, sealing, and airflow optimization
  • Handle refrigerants, wiring, zoning systems, and smart technology
  • Maintain van organization, tools, and jobsite cleanliness
  • Train and mentor Installer Helpers (Lead-level roles)
