The Industrial HVAC Technician will ensure the safe and efficient operation of site chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC systems chiller systems. This role involves performing routine inspections, predictive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems and Controls. The technician will also develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of HVAC equipment, and schedule and perform maintenance activities according to established protocols. Additionally, the role requires diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, malfunctions, and failures in the system, and analyzing and resolving complex problems efficiently and safely. Safety compliance is paramount, requiring adherence to all safety guidelines and regulations, including NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements. The technician will maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repairs, including EPA records for refrigerant leaks and equipment disposals. This position also involves being on-call for emergency HVAC repairs, analyzing problems, identifying appropriate tools and materials for repair, and following health and safety standards. The role may require working at heights, operating forklifts, and ordering materials and parts. The technician will use the current CMMS work order system and access the Building Management System to review and adjust HVAC systems. Miscellaneous job-related duties will also be assigned.
