Job Overview:
We are recruiting for an HVAC Technician position on our Day shift to join our Kitchener Production team.
This is a unionized position with a wage of $41.85 per hour.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-5 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment
• Relevant working experience in a fast-paced team environment
• Must hold a valid 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Ontario license
• Demonstrate solid communication and interpersonal skills in a team-based work environment
• Experience reading and troubleshooting electrical diagrams and schematics drawings
• Creative problem solving, job task planning and organizing, continuous learning and improvement
• Requires standing, walking, reaching and bending for periods of time across all areas of the facility
• Physically fit, ability to lift up to 40lbs in a safe manner
• Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet using Scissor-lifts and ladders
• Excellent knowledge of equipment and process within scope of job
• Some repairs will be conducted in high or low temperature

Nice To Haves

• Desirable to have 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), 442A Industrial Electrician, or Gas tickets.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble and modify mechanical equipment working from engineering drawings, field sketches, other related documents and verbal instruction needed to perform assigned duties
• Must participate and work within safety regulations and guidelines while maintaining a safe work environment for all plant employees
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all HVAC facility equipment safely
• Ensure production downtime is minimized and production output is maximized
• Respond promptly to breakdown calls and troubleshoot/repair the problems
• Perform breakdown analysis to create action plans to address root causes
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in maintenance shop
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; flexibility in work schedule to accommodate business requirements; including weekends
