Requirements

  • Proficient in installing various HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of installation, maintenance, and repair of complex HVAC systems.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and resolving intricate and atypical HVAC system issues.
  • Acts as an informal resource, providing guidance and support to less experienced team members.
  • Capable of managing and overseeing HVAC projects from initiation to completion with minimal supervision.
  • In depth knowledge of HVAC related codes, standards, and regulations to ensure all work meets legal requirements.
  • Develops and implements effective preventive maintenance schedules to enhance system performance and longevity.
  • Skilled in performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functioning and longevity of HVAC equipment.
  • Adept at diagnosing and resolving complex HVAC system issues using established diagnostic methods.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for accurate system installation and repair.
  • In depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles and handling refrigerants in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Competent in installing and repairing electrical components related to HVAC systems, including wiring and control systems.
  • Thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
  • Effective in communicating with clients to understand their HVAC needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Experienced in using a variety of HVAC tools and equipment for installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
  • Ability to accurately document work performed, maintenance schedules, and system modifications for recordkeeping and compliance purposes.
  • Proficient in creating detailed technical reports and maintaining accurate records of HVAC system operations and repairs.
  • Skilled in explaining complex technical information clearly to team members and clients.
  • Effectively coordinates team efforts and resources to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Provides innovative solutions to unique and complex HVAC challenges based on existing procedures and precedents.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification or equivalent required
  • Physical activity requires agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects.
  • Work is performed in an area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear.
  • Work is performed in tight spaces, repeated kneeling is involved, frequently working in extreme temperatures.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repair of commercial HVAC units
  • Knowledge and experience in preventative maintenance of 800-ton chiller units, boilers
  • Experience using and working with Trane HVAC monitoring system
  • Journeyman experience
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Responsibilities

  • Executes the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems following established procedures and specifications.
  • Conducts regular maintenance tasks to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably.
  • Develops and carries out routine maintenance schedules for HVAC equipment to enhance system reliability and extend operational lifespan.
  • Provides expert guidance and support to less experienced team members, fostering skill development and ensuring high quality workmanship within the team.
  • Evaluates and refines existing HVAC procedures and methodologies, contributing to improved efficiency and effectiveness in system operations.
  • Identifies and resolves typical HVAC system problems using established analytical methods and standard operating procedures.
  • Works with team members to support project objectives and ensure high quality service delivery.
  • Records maintenance activities and service reports to maintain accurate operational records.
