About The Position

At Universal Pure, we’re dedicated to giving people everywhere safe, fresh, and delicious food to eat and drink. We provide high-pressure processing (HPP), value-added services and cold storage for our partners in the food industry. We are focused on safety and driven by service. 7 am - 3:30 pm - (Mon - Fri) Some Weekends - Pay depending on experience Position Purpose: We are looking to hire a detail-orientated HVAC technician to maintain and repair HVAC systems. The HVAC technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalence.
3+ years’ experience as an HVAC technician and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
Understanding of advanced principles of refrigeration
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in reading, schematics, and work plans.
Ability to work after hours, over weekends with short to NO NOTICE (If needed).
Must have an EPA certification.

Responsibilities

Maintaining and repairing Freon, Glycol chillers, evaporator, split systems, and condensers.
Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems.
Performing emergency repairs promptly, efficiently, and costly.
Providing technical direction and on-the-job training to junior technicians
Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and w/ Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Complying with service standards and work instructions.
Occasionally Facilities Maintenance.
