About The Position

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is seeking to hire a Senior Building Mechanical Technician/Gas Fitter/HVAC Technician. Under limited supervision, this position performs highly skilled work related to corrective and preventive maintenance, repairs and restorations of heating, ventilating, central air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical and related utility systems in Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority buildings and facilities. Performs highly skilled gas fitter duties related to the installation, service and repair of residential and non-residential gas appliances and any other gas utilization equipment. Performs work involving heavy lifting, climbing of ladders and using staging; performs related work as required. May serve as lead person in the performance of duties, provide instruction and oversee work being performed by others. This involves ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors and co-workers. The Senior Building Mechanical Technician/Gas Fitter will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and perform related work as required. Must possess a State of New Hampshire Fuel Gas Fitters License with STN/STP endorsement. This is a full-time position; Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm with a half-hour lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks.
