About The Position

The HVAC Technician fulfills a critical role for the organization by ensuring all commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems are in proper working condition and run efficiently. This role performs skilled electrical and mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation, and alteration of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems and related equipment and facilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years experience
• Associate degree or equivalent certification
• Welding and machinery experience
• Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
• Customer service and basic record keeping
• Attention to detail; demonstrate passion for accuracy in both minor and significant workstreams
• Standard practices and theory of the HVACR and refrigeration trade, and the ability to read HVACR, Electrical, and mechanical blueprint schematic
• Materials, methods, special machinery, and tools (Manual and Electrical) used in the operation and repair of HVACR and refrigeration systems
• Welding and soldering techniques

Responsibilities

• Performing preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment.
• Conducting regular preventive maintenance and inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating, and ventilating units, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and evaporative coolers.
• Repairing or replacing defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, log switches, damper motors, louvers, relays, filters, controls, belts, compressors, heat exchangers, high limit controls, pressure controls, safety valves, and automatic gas valves.
• Ensuring the Company’s products are refrigerated correctly.
• Maintaining related records concerning time, labor, and materials.
• Completing and maintaining log of tasks performed and writing reports as required.
