About The Position

Norrell Construction is seeking skilled and motivated Industrial/Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to provide exceptional service and quality workmanship on a wide range of HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems, with the ability to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complete HVAC systems in accordance with blueprints and engineering specifications. This position requires a commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and professional excellence while delivering reliable solutions for commercial and industrial clients.

Requirements

  • Universal EPA CARD
  • State HVAC License
  • TDLR
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must have 5+ years as a technician in the HVAC field.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Norrell Construction is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience/certifications in the electrical field a plus

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering specifications, and project plans to ensure proper system installation and operation.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, local codes, and industry standards.
  • Perform system start-ups, testing, commissioning, and performance verification of HVAC equipment and controls.
  • Maintain accurate service records, work orders, equipment documentation, and project reports.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify repair and replacement needs and provide recommendations for improving system efficiency and reliability.
  • Manage job-site materials, tools, equipment, and workforce scheduling to maximize productivity.
  • Inspect completed work to verify quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
  • Support estimating, project planning, and field coordination efforts as needed.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and assist in resolving critical system failures.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance technical skills, safety awareness, and professional growth.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, teamwork, and excellent customer service.
