About The Position

Air Stream Air Conditioning is looking for talented HVAC Technicians in New York City. We offer great benefits including 401K and bonus opportunities. Requirements

  • Well-versed in mechanical systems for commercial buildings, refrigeration cycles, chillers, water towers, roof top units, gas fired boilers & heating systems, pumps, VAV systems and building automation systems
  • Extremely knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Recognizes problems and can tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities
  • Top performer who can instill pride of workmanship in self and others
  • Passionate about Air Stream Air Conditioning and loves the brand
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and positive, professional demeanor
  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree
  • Five(+) years’ experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting and correcting diverse HVAC service issues
  • Clean driving and criminal records, as required by state laws for mechanical contracting companies and by company insurance carrier(s)

Responsibilities

  • Adjusts system controls to setting recommended by manufacturer to balance system, using hand tools
  • Performs routine maintenance on equipment and determines when and what kind of maintenance is needed
  • Complies with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, follows safety procedures, maintains a clean work area
  • Discusses heating-cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems and understand the issues
  • Generates work orders that address deficiencies in need of correction
  • Inspects and tests system to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions
  • Obtains and maintains required certifications
  • Reassembles and tests equipment following repairs
  • Recommends, develops, and performs preventive and general maintenance procedures such as cleaning, power-washing and vacuuming equipment, oiling parts, and changing filters
  • Records and reports all faults, deficiencies, unusual occurrences, plus the time and materials expended on work orders
  • Repairs or replaces defective equipment, components, or wiring
  • Follows all procedures and protocols
  • Cooperates with managers and other field technicians and shares information across the organization
  • Comprehends customer requirements and builds positive relationships with customers
