About The Position

This role is the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base including Healthcare, Process Manufacturing Facilities, Education Institutions, and Office Complexes. You will be learning commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. In this role, you will have exposure to a variety of commercial HVAC system to help grow your knowledge for a future career. This position affords you the opportunity to work with internal and external partners ranging from new facility set ups to existing facility retro fits. Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school is required.
  • Typically, 0-2 years of experience in HVAC.
  • Experience operating forklift or desire to learn.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical School or formal training is preferred.
  • EPA Type Universal, preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver parts and tools to service job sites.
  • Under the direction from Service Team Lead, assist in minor maintenance of tools and shop equipment.
  • May be required to use a variety of small hand tools to repair warehouse equipment or vehicles.
  • Maintains and organizes shop/warehouse and ensures MSDS compliance with all chemicals stored in shop/warehouse (keep records of chemicals that need pickup for waste disposal).
  • Required to log and track large tools and equipment to and from job site and log any repairs made to the equipment.
  • Responsible for refrigerant cylinder recovery and maintenance.
  • Operates forklift as necessary.
  • Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
  • Displays team effort and dedication to customers by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weeks as the business requires.
