We boldly go. Where is the work: Field-based: Work is conducted on-site at customer locations. What's in it for you: This role is the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base including Healthcare, Process Manufacturing Facilities, Education Institutions, and Office Complexes. You will be learning commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. In this role, you will have exposure to a variety of commercial HVAC system to help grow your knowledge for a future career. This position affords you the opportunity to work with internal and external partners ranging from new facility set ups to existing facility retro fits. Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school is required.
- Typically, 0-2 years of experience in HVAC.
- Experience operating forklift or desire to learn.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
Nice To Haves
- Technical School or formal training is preferred.
- EPA Type Universal, preferred or willing to obtain.
Responsibilities
- Deliver parts and tools to service job sites.
- Under the direction from Service Team Lead, assist in minor maintenance of tools and shop equipment.
- May be required to use a variety of small hand tools to repair warehouse equipment or vehicles.
- Maintains and organizes shop/warehouse and ensures MSDS compliance with all chemicals stored in shop/warehouse (keep records of chemicals that need pickup for waste disposal).
- Responsible for refrigerant cylinder recovery and maintenance.
- Operates forklift as necessary.
- Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
- Displays team effort and dedication to customers by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weeks as the business requires.
