About The Position

This position involves performing various skilled tasks in the operation, maintenance, diagnosis, repair, adjustment, and alteration of HVAC systems. The classification and compensation depend on qualifications and experience. The role may require additional day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • HVAC Technician: Three (3) years of professional journey-level HVAC experience.
  • Senior HVAC Technician: Five (5) years of professional HVAC experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License upon hire, with complying insurance.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting through a national database.
  • HVAC Technician: Must possess an EPA approved Federal Refrigerant II certification.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Federal Universal Refrigeration License within 90 days of employment.
  • Senior HVAC Technician: Must possess a Federal Universal Refrigeration License.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis of HVAC equipment failures.
  • Performs all HVAC equipment preventative maintenance.
  • Performs repairs on HVAC equipment, including boilers, air handlers, DX systems, chillers, and numerous other types of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Installs HVAC and building automation systems and equipment.
  • Installs ductwork, low voltage controls, gas piping, and ventilation systems.
  • Responsible for rough-in and final trim of new systems.
  • Performs building automation preventative maintenance.
  • Responds to and investigates complaints of malfunctioning building comfort control equipment.
  • Monitor building efficiencies to include indoor air quality and energy use.
  • Respond to after-hours or emergency calls outside of regular scheduled or business hours.
  • Remodels existing systems. (Senior)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
