Intertek is seeking entry-level HVAC Technicians to join their Electrical team in Plano, Texas. This role offers an opportunity to build a career in HVAC testing within Intertek's Electrical business line, which leverages over 100 years of product testing expertise. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
No experience is required - will train
Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools
Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats
Microsoft Office software expertise, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required.

Nice To Haves

1+ years of related HVAC equipment experience
EPA License is highly desired

Responsibilities

Set up test apparatus.
Operate equipment.
Maintain equipment and facilities.
Prepare test samples.
Obtain and record test data in accordance with standards.
Perform basic analysis of test data and routine calculations.
May draft technical reports.
Perform other work as required.
Use basic hand tools, and HVAC equipment such as Vacuum pumps, Recovery Machines and Torches.
Float between chambers for setup of HVAC equipment.
