About The Position

This field-based role serves as a primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market, including commercial customers in healthcare, process manufacturing, education, and office settings. The technician commissions, troubleshoots, repairs, and starts up commercial HVAC systems, applying knowledge of air-conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts. The position involves working with internal and external partners on new facility setups and existing facility retrofits. Trane provides access to technical support, training on new technology, and career development opportunities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically five or more years of HVAC experience.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with a handheld computer, such as a smartphone or iPad.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions as described in the posting during the previous three years.
• EPA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the team leader or project manager and customer to understand requirements for on-site installations and repairs, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and represent the company on assigned projects and equipment.
• Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations to support customer satisfaction.
• Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
• Maintain flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as business needs require.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability for company-issued and procured assets by recording their use, wear, and condition.
