About The Position

Medxcel is hiring an HVAC Tech II for the Facilities department at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. The role installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice-making systems. It also applies specialized knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management systems. The schedule is full-time, day shift.

Requirements

• EPA Certification; Level II is preferred.
• At least one of the following: a high school diploma or equivalent, or graduation from trade school.
• Three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice-making systems.
• Apply specialized knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management systems.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and manage power outage procedures.
• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with personnel regarding work orders and ensure compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Keep tools and vehicles in safe operating condition.
• Participate in meetings and training workshops and assist with special projects as assigned; this accounts for 20% of the role.
