About The Position

Johnson Controls, a leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12, and Commercial Real Estate, is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join their growing business. This role offers the opportunity to increase HVAC knowledge and learn from top HVAC teams, with factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA). The position involves servicing and maintaining advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment, acting as a trusted advisor to customers to solve comfort, building inefficiency, and other service-related issues.

Requirements

• Adherence to the company Safety Program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installations and drive results, mentored by peers and other work covered by the labor agreement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Respond to basic warranty calls.
• Keep JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
