About The Position

The HVAC Supervisor is responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of all HVAC and related building systems across the site. This role leads technicians and vendors, ensures compliance in a GMP environment, and drives maintenance execution and system reliability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years HVAC experience; supervisory experience required
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, BAS/BMS, and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Proficient in CMMS and Microsoft Office
  • Responsible for reviewing and signing off on technician work and hours in accordance with Massachusetts licensing regulations

  • Lift up to 50 lbs; climbing, kneeling, overhead work

Nice To Haves

  • GMP or regulated environmental experience
  • Valid Massachusetts Refrigeration License (Journeyman or Master)
  • Valid Massachusetts HVAC/Refrigeration Contractor registration (or equivalent business license)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise HVAC technicians and contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Own execution of preventive and corrective maintenance with focus on uptime and quality
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and drive root cause analysis
  • Ensure all work complies with safety policies, GMP requirements, and site procedures
  • Ensure all work performed under supervision complies with applicable state codes and licensing requirements
  • Coordinate and oversee vendor work for quality, scope, and schedule adherence
  • Maintain accurate documentation in CMMS (labor, materials, completion notes)
  • Support planning/scheduling to align labor with operational priorities
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements or capital upgrades
  • Respond to system alarms, failures, and emergencies
  • Coach and develop technical staff
