About The Position

Southern Air Mechanical is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This is a role for a technician who takes pride in the diagnosis, communicates clearly with homeowners, and does the job right the first time. You'll run your own truck, own your calls, and have the backing of a company that invests in its people.

Requirements

2+ years of hands-on residential HVAC service experience
EPA 608 Certification required
TDLR ACR Technician Registration required, or the ability to obtain upon hire
Strong diagnostic skills across a range of residential equipment
Ability to communicate professionally and build trust with homeowners
Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor conditions
Availability for on-call rotation
Must be 18 years of age or older to apply

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential heating and air conditioning systems
Perform preventative maintenance on residential HVAC equipment
Communicate findings and repair options clearly to homeowners using a good, better, best presentation
Identify and present replacement opportunities to the sales team
Sell and promote maintenance agreements and indoor air quality products
Document all work, findings, and recommendations accurately in our service software
Maintain truck stock, tools, and vehicle appearance
Participate in the on-call rotation
Deliver a 5-star customer experience at every touch point
Follow all safety procedures and comply with EPA and local code requirements
