About The Position

Hope Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join their team in Indianapolis. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and indoor air quality equipment. The technician will also educate customers on repair and replacement options, present financing and maintenance plans, and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently. Requirements

  • Three (3)+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC diagnostics, airflow, refrigeration principles, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of local HVAC codes and industry best practices.
  • Experience performing repairs, maintenance, and customer-facing service work.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development
  • Clean driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High integrity and exceptional customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC systems.
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and testing on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and indoor air quality equipment.
  • Navigate crawlspaces and attics as needed.
  • Educate customers and provide repair and replacement options.
  • Present financing and maintenance plan options.
  • Ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Meet and exceed service and revenue goals.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience that builds trust and generates referrals.
  • Partner with customer service and dispatch teams to ensure success.
  • Maintain a clean, organized truck and job site.
  • Participate in training, meetings, and company events.
  • Mentor and train apprentices.
  • Complete invoices, timecards, and documentation accurately and on time.
