The HVAC Service Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and efficiency of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and commercial clients across the United States. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment to optimize performance and extend system longevity. The technician will work closely with customers to provide expert advice, troubleshoot issues, and deliver timely solutions that meet or exceed industry standards. Success in this role requires a strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
  • Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants.
  • Proven experience in HVAC service, repair, and installation.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical components related to HVAC.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications such as NATE (North American Technician Excellence).
  • Experience with advanced HVAC control systems and smart thermostats.
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient and green HVAC technologies.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using specialized tools and equipment to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly with customers to explain problems, recommend solutions, and provide cost estimates for repairs or replacements.
  • Maintain detailed service records, parts inventory, and compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls and provide effective troubleshooting under time constraints.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve service processes and customer experience.
