About The Position

Service Technicians perform thorough maintenance on all ages of equipment, with the ability to accurately diagnose heating and air conditioning system issues. You must be able to recognize potential breakdown issues before they happen and make the appropriate recommendations to the customer. You must also be comfortable asking for money and deliver excellent communication skills.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License
HVAC Certified/EPA
2+ years of HVAC experience
Clean driving record
Time management skills
Basic software understanding
Self-motivation
High School diploma or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills
Basic mechanical aptitude
Basic computer skills
The ability to use various hand and power tools common to trade
The ability to learn through observation and hands on experience
The ability to follow routine, verbal, and written instructions
The ability to communicate with team members and customers effectively
Being capable of maintaining professional working relationships with team members
The ability to understand, analyze, interpret, and implement ideas contained in technical documents, reports, regulations, etc.
The ability to perform basic mathematical functions
Must be comfortable working in tight spaces for an extended period of time in attics and crawl spaces as needed.
Must pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough maintenance on all ages of equipment.
Accurately diagnose heating and air conditioning system issues.
Recognize potential breakdown issues before they happen and make appropriate recommendations to the customer.
Address and handle new/returning customers’ concerns appropriately, timely, and accurately.
Manage stress, difficult, or emotional customer situations.
Operate company vehicles, following all state and federal laws, and maintain their cleanliness and routine maintenance.
Follow safety responsibilities & requirements provided in training.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools, meters, hand tools, and all other test equipment utilized in the trade.
Perform skilled maintenance work in the repair, installation, and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors, and any other wiring system as needed.
Submit customer invoices via company iPad, correctly documenting customer equipment information, diagnostics, and all recommended repairs.
Perform proper maintenance on heating and air conditioning systems that prevents systems from breaking down and provide safety and comfort for our clients.
Communicate options to clients for maintenance, repairs, and replacement.
Speak and maintain professionalism to customers, team members, and vendors.
