About The Position

Blue Planet Plumbing, a residential plumbing company in Asheville, NC, is expanding into HVAC services in 2026 and opening a second location in Travelers Rest, SC. We are hiring experienced HVAC Service Technicians to join this new division. This role involves driving a company vehicle, running residential HVAC service calls independently, diagnosing systems, performing installations and maintenance, and selling repairs, replacements, and maintenance agreements. We are looking for individuals who want to be part of building something new rather than just being a number in a large company.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of residential HVAC service experience
• Prior experience in sales (or prior sales training is acceptable)
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, clean background check

Nice To Haves

• HVAC licensing preferred, not required (NC HVAC Contractor license, EPA 608 Universal certification, or willing/able to obtain it in a short timeframe)
• Residential service experience
• Familiarity with flat-rate pricing and service software
• Ability to run calls independently

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heat pumps, gas furnaces, central AC, and mini-splits
• Perform installs, replacements, and seasonal tune-ups
• Ensure work meets NC mechanical code
• Maintain clean, professional job sites and vehicles
• Present repair vs. replacement options clearly and honestly
• Sell maintenance agreements and follow up on open estimates
• Educate customers and represent the company professionally
