About The Position

This position is for an HVAC Service Technician / Controls Technician in Tampa, Florida. The company has been in business for over 75 years and focuses on service projects, retrofits, and new construction. The role requires proficiency in controls project design and programming, installation, wiring, and servicing of HVAC systems. A strong understanding of HVAC mechanical systems and their functions is essential, as is the ability to interpret drawings, equipment, and remote computer interface systems. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting HVAC equipment, starters, solid-state controls, and VFDs, and will provide support to mechanics and control specialists. Proficiency in Microsoft VISIO and AutoCAD is also required.

Requirements

• Proficiency in controls project design and programming
• Ability to install, wire, and service HVAC systems
• Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems and its functions
• Ability to interpret drawings, equipment, and remote computer interface systems
• Troubleshooting skills for HVAC equipment, starters, solid state controls, and VFD's
• Proficiency in Microsoft VISIO
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
